At Artful Splodgers we encourage the children to get involved and enjoy the whole process of being creative through arts, crafts and messy play.
We have five tables/areas we set-up with different activities on them each week:
* Painting Area - Easels, finger painting, sponge painting, printing, stamping, marbling, and lot’s more.
* Draw/Cut/Stick Table - Colouring with crayons, pencils, pens, chalk. Cutting skills, sticking pictures and lots more.
* Play-dough Table
* Messy Play - Sand, water, flour, earth or ‘gloop’, jelly, cooked spaghetti and lots more.
* Craft Table - Collage, decoration, paper mache, sewing, cooking and lot more.
The children are free to choose what they would like to do, they can go round all the areas or spend their whole time on one activity, there is no race or pressure to do more than they want to do.
As parents/guardians you can spend quality time with your children encouraging them to be creative through messy play, which at home you may be discourage from having the mess, but here at Artful Splodgers we want the mess and better still will clear it up!
Juice and biscuits are also provided for the children, because creative messy play can be hungry and thirsty work for little ones!
